Nov. 20, 1963 - President Kennedy received a citation today for his efforts for peace from men who fought in World War II. The citation was presented by the 8th Armored Division Association. Also today, a delegation including singer Lena Horne (left) and actress Carol Lawrence (next to the President) met with Mr. Kennedy to discuss a fundraising salute to mark the third anniversary of his inauguration. The gala will be held January 23 at the National Guard Armory in Washington with a number of entertainment stars, including Miss Horne and Miss Lawrence, appearing.
