July 8, 1961 - "By Love Possessed," the adaptation of the James Gould Cozzens novel, featuring Jason Robards, Lana Turner (left), Barbara Bel Geddes and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (right), will open at New York's Capitol Theatre Wednesday, July 19. John Sturges directed the Mirisch Pictures presentation, which is being released by United Artists. A neurotic woman (Turner) engages in an affair with the law partner (Zimbalist) of her impotent husband (Robards).
