Oct. 7, 1961 - President Kennedy flew to Newport, R.I., today for a weekend visit with his family. With a "Hi, Daddy," Caroline, nearly 4, threw her arms around the President and pressed her face against him. Mr. Kennedy rubbed her head, finished his handshaking, and marched off with her to an open car. A short time later, the President, Caroline, and the First Lady's mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Auchincloss, joined Mrs. Kennedy aboard the Honey Fitz, the Presidential yacht. They planned an afternoon cruise of several hours. President Kennedy plans to depart for Washington at 3:45 p.m. Monday.
