Jan. 25, 1962 - Universal’s “The Outsider,” a drama starring Tony Curtis (pictured), will have its première Feb. 7 at New York’s Trans-Lux Theatre. Delbert Mann directed the adaptation of a book by William Bradford Huie. Mr. Curtis plays an Indian (nicknamed “Chief” by other soldiers) who fights in WWII and helps raise the flag at Iwo Jima.
