Sept. 20, 1961 - Mickey Rooney (pictured with Rod Serling) has been signed for a leading role in Serling's "Requiem for a Heavyweight," which will start filming in New York in November. Mr. Rooney will play the role of the fight trainer, which was played by Ed Wynn on television. Anthony Quinn and Jackie Gleason are also in the cast.
