Mar. 6, 1962 - The world’s favorite movie stars are Marilyn Monroe and Charlton Heston, in the opinion of fans polled by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The association gave the actress and actor its Golden Globes awards Monday night at its 19th annual presentation ceremony. “The Guns of Navarone” was named best dramatic film of the year and “West Side Story” the best musical. The best-director citation went to Stanley Kramer for “Judgment at Nuremberg.” Samuel Bronston, producer, got a special merit award for “El Cid.”
