June 20, 1963 - A series of jazz and folk music events has been scheduled for Saturday evenings at the Forest Hills (Queens) Tennis Stadium this summer. The first concert will be held on July 6 and will be given by the folk music trio Peter, Paul and Mary. Other performers scheduled include Joan Baez (left), Bob Dylan (right), Ella Fitzgerald, Dave Brubeck, The Kingston Trio, Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, and Sammy Davis Jr. The Forest Hills Music Festival will be officially honored at its opening in a proclamation by Mayor Robert Wagner of July 7-13 as Music Festival Week in the city.
