Dec. 2, 1961 - Singer Dinah Shore announced today that she and her husband, actor George Montgomery, were separating and would be divorced after almost 18 years of marriage. They are the parents of two children. Miss Shore was a young recording star when she married Mr. Montgomery, a star of adventure dramas. Her press representative said she would maintain custody of both children. Miss Shore is the star of her own TV show. Mr. Montgomery is the producer, director, and star of his latest motion picture, “Samar.”
