July 5, 1962 - Negotiations are under way for the continuation next season of a series of eight telecasts with Leonard Bernstein (pictured right with Aaron Copland) and the New York Philharmonic. They would be presented in prime time on CBS. According to the proposed plans, four hour-long programs would be devoted to the Young People’s Concerts at Philharmonic Hall in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Philharmonic’s new home. They would be taped there Saturday mornings and televised by CBS on a delayed basis.
