Mar. 13, 1962 - Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy passed out lollipops to ailing Indian children today. The wife of the President spent half an hour visiting with patients in the children’s section of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences. An aide said later that Mrs. Kennedy had felt it was the most rewarding experience of the first two days of her visit to India. Mrs. Kennedy stopped beside about a dozen beds. The President’s wife saw a panorama of smiling faces, waving children, color costumes and dazzling jewelry, with a dose of traditional pageantry for good measure.
