Oct. 10, 1964 - The All-Stars edged the Toronto Maple Leafs, 3-2, tonight before 14,200 spectators at Maple Leaf Gardens in the 18th annual NHL All-Star game. All-Star coach Sid Abel gave the fans their money’s worth by putting together the most talented threesome of this hockey era when he formed a line of the Canadiens’ Jean Beliveau at center, Detroit’s Gordie Howe on right wing, and Chicago’s Bobby Hull on left.
