Nov. 24, 1963 - Dallas Police Chief Jesse Curry announced today that Lee Harvey Oswald died at 1:07 p.m. He also announced that Jack Ruby, the man who shot Oswald in the basement of the Dallas municipal building, had been arrested and would be charged with murder.
