May 10, 1964 - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. appeared tonight on the CBS program, “Face the Nation.” He was questioned by host Paul Niven, Ben Bradlee, and Dan Rather. Among other things, the panelists asked Dr. King how a civil rights bill would be enforced in the South and whether he had plans to endorse President Lyndon Johnson’s campaign for a full presidential term.
