Mar. 14, 1964 - Jack Ruby was sentenced today to die in the electric chair for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald, accused assassin of President Kennedy. A few minutes later, prosecutor Henry Wade held a press conference outside the courthouse to discuss the verdict and sentence.
