June 14, 1965 - Tom Jones was a musical guest on last night’s edition of the Ed Sullivan Show. Born Thomas Woodward, the singer’s manager, Gordon Mills, renamed him Tom Jones to exploit the popularity of the Academy Award-winning 1963 film of the same name.
