July 19, 1962 - The United Arab Republic has refused to grant Elizabeth Taylor an entry visa because she has adopted the Jewish faith and supported Israeli causes, the newspaper Al Ahram reported today. Richard Burton, Miss Taylor’s co-star in the movie “Cleopatra,” arrived in Cairo Monday for final outdoor scenes for the movie. He said that if Miss Taylor is not admitted, the scenes will be filmed elsewhere. At the present time, Miss Taylor is in Switzerland.
