Jan. 10, 1963 - Tonight on “The Twilight Zone,” 100 miles from Guadalcanal, a U.S. destroyer discovers a sunken submarine when sonar picks up the sound of tapping on metal. A bit of research reveals it went down during World War II. Meanwhile, the chief boatswain's mate Bell has been acting strangely, and the ship's doctor believes he is having a mental breakdown — the submarine is the one from which Bell was the only survivor. Believing himself responsible for the sub’s destruction, he fears that his former crew mates are calling him to join them. 9 p.m. on CBS.
