Sept. 24, 1964 - On tonight’s series premiere of “The Munsters,” the Munsters, a family of benign monsters, are invited to a masquerade dance party. The series stars Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster, who bears a strong resemblance to Frankenstein’s monster; Yvonne De Carlo as his vampire wife, Lily; Al Lewis as Grandpa, the aged vampire Count Dracula; Beverly Owen as their niece, Marilyn; and Butch Patrick as their werewolf-like son, Eddie. The family pet, named “Spot,” is a fire-breathing dragon. 7:30 p.m. on CBS.
