Mar. 6, 1964 — Tonight on “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour,” a struggling actor (John Cassavetes) auditioning in London learns that his actress-girlfriend (Gena Rowlands) who dumped him is married to the play's backer, a rich diamond merchant.
