Dec. 8, 1963 - Tonight on “Bonanza,” when Frank Dayton (Wayde Preston) is thrown from his horse and killed, his wife Laura (Kathie Browne) tells their daughter Peggy (Katie Sweet) that he went on a long trip, preferring to let the little girl hold onto the hope that her daddy would come home again someday. Laura's plan to shelter Peggy from her father's death is soon challenged, however, when Adam Cartwright (Pernell Roberts) comes calling and the pretty widow finds herself falling in love. 9 p.m. on NBC.
