Sept. 16, 1963 - Tonight marks the series premiere of “The Outer Limits,” an hour-long science fiction series on ABC-TV. Tonight’s episode, “The Galaxy Being,” will air at 7:30 p.m. Alan Maxwell (Cliff Robertson), an adventurous radio station operator, contacts a fellow experimenter in another galaxy. The operator locks in 3D communication, but a D.J. (Lee Philips) who wants to impress his girlfriend (Jacqueline Scott) with the station's range, boosts the signal all the way up, unwittingly sucking the alien into the remote desert town.
