TV: “Run for Your Life”

Feb. 16, 1965 - Ben Gazzara, who appeared on “Arrest and Trial” last season, will return to television next fall as the star of “Run for Your Life” on NBC. NBC also plans a situation comedy series starring Juliet Prowse, the dancer and motion picture actress.

Gazzara will portray a man in his late 30’s who is told by his physician that he has only 18 months to live. Assuming a devil-may-care attitude, the man decides to spend his time on the Riviera, where he becomes involved in various adventures among persons of high means that he never knew before. “Run for Your Life” will be produced by Universal Television and presented from 10 to 11 p.m. Mondays.

Miss Prowse’s show, title “McCluskey,” will be presented from 9:30 to 10 p.m. Thursdays. She plays the wife of an Air Force sergeant stationed in the Los Angeles area. An industry source described the role facetiously as that of “an average housewife, with the possible exception that she is also a movie star.” Scott Miller portrays the husband. “McCluskey” will be produced by Don McGuire.
