TV: Rolling Stones on “Thank Your Lucky Stars”

Nov. 29, 1964 - Two weeks after completing their second tour of North America, the Rolling Stones convened today at ATV’s Birmingham Studios. The group pre-recorded four mimed performances for a special edition of ABC Weekend Television’s “Thank Your Lucky Stars,” to be broadcast Dec. 5. The songs performed were “Around and Around,” “Little Red Rooster,” “Off the Hook,” and “Empty Heart.”

Also appearing on this special edition of “Thank Your Lucky Stars” will be Sandie Shaw, Clinton Ford, Herman’s Hermits, Mark Wynter, Petula Clark, and Janice Nicholls.
