Feb. 7, 1962 - Twelve hour-long filmed shows starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz will be repeated this summer by CBS. The programs, which are separate from the old “I Love Lucy” series, were first televised as specials in 1957, ’58, and ’59. Reruns of “The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show” will be presented on Mondays from 9 to 10 p.m. beginning July 2. The show will serve as a summer replacement for two half-hour programs — “The Danny Thomas Show” and “The Andy Griffith Show.” Guest stars who appear in the films include Maurice Chevalier, Danny Thomas, Red Skelton, Ann Sothern, Robert Cummings, Ida Lupino, and Howard Duff. The late Ernie Kovacs appeared in one of the films, but it is not known whether this one will be selected for a repeat.
