Nov. 24, 1961 - “Password,” a popular new game show on CBS, will add a Thursday night program at 9:30 in addition to its shows every weekday at 2 p.m. A question has arisen as to whether Allen Ludden, host of “Password” each afternoon, will be assigned to the nighttime version. Initially this was the plan, but now there is a possible sponsor conflict. Mr. Ludden is the host of “College Bowl,” a Sunday afternoon program sponsored by General Electric. CBS is negotiating with another appliance manufacterer to sponsor “Password” on Thursday night.
