Oct. 24, 1961 - Lloyd Bridges will star tonight in a television dramatization of the true adventures of a U.S. Air Force officer captured by the enemy in North Korea. The drama, entitled “The Fortress,” will be presented on ABC’s “Alcoa Premiére.” The script was based on the experiences of Lieut. Wallace L. Brown and depicts the officer’s determined fight against mental deterioration as he is confined, interrogated, and abused. To keep his mind active, he plays a pencil-drawn piano and visualizes, on the wall of his somber cell, a blueprint of the house is wishes to build for himself and his family.
