Jan. 7, 1962 - Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett will be the stars of a Carnegie Hall concert, to be taped for telecast by CBS on the evening of March 5. The special hour-long show, entitled “Julie and Carol at Carnegie,” will also be seen by an invited audience on that evening. The show will have a male chorus of singers and dancers. The music will range from a classical number by Miss Andrews to a comedy song by Miss Burnett. Miss Burnett has described the Carnegie Hall concert as “the poor man’s Mary Martin-Ethel Merman show.” Her comment was in reference to an outstanding TV performance by those stars in 1953.
