Feb. 5, 1963 - Here are a few highlights of CBS’s evening television schedule next fall:

Sunday brings a new science fiction program called “My Favorite Martian” followed by Ed Sullivan’s show and the new “Judy Garland Show.”

Monday brings the successful 1-2-3 punch of “The Lucy Show,” “The Danny Thomas Show,” and “The Andy Griffith Show.”

Wednesday will feature a new show related to “Beverly Hillbillies” called “Petticoat Junction” (pictured) at 9.

On Thursdays, “Rawhide” and “Perry Mason” will resume in their accustomed spots at 8 and 9.

Fridays will bring the final season of “Route 66,” followed by “The Twilight Zone” (returning to its half-hour form) and “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.”

Saturday is unsettled until Jackie Gleason makes up his mind about next year. If he leaves, “Perry Mason” will take the 7:30 spot. Otherwise, it will remain on the Thursday schedule. Firmly fixed are “The Defenders” at 9 and “Gunsmoke” at 10.
