Jan. 11, 1965 - Tonight on “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour,” Nell Snyder (Margaret Leighton) has been taking care of Eva, her orphaned niece, and is growing more worried over her Eve’s behavior. Eva blames all the trouble she causes on an imaginary friend named Mr. Peppercorn. When Eve’s grandfather Captain King Snyder gives her a Creole voodoo doll, Eve says the doll actually came from Mr. Peppercorn. She names it Numa and treats like a real person. Eventually, Nell grows convinced that the doll is real and that it is trying to take her Eva’s soul. 10 p.m. on NBC.
