June 8, 1964 - Tina Louise (pictured with Dick Patterson), appearing on Broadway in “Fade Out — Fade in” with Carol Burnett, will leave the show this month. She will be seen in “Gilligan’s Island,” a comedy series which CBS will televise next season.
She will play a movie star who is aboard a fishing boat wrecked on a Pacific Island. Others in the cast are Jim Backus, Alan Hale Jr., and Bob Denver.
