Dec. 10, 1961 - RCA announced this weekend that the dollar volume of factory shipments of its color televisions in November exceeded that of black-and-white sets for the first time since the introduction of the color sets in 1954. W. Walter Watts, RCA group executive vice president, also reported that combined sales of color and black-and-white sets were the highest for any November since 1955.
