Sept. 27, 1964 - Robert F. Kennedy, brother of the assassinated President, said tonight he had been briefed on the Warren Commission report and was “completely satisfied.” But he added that he had “not read the report, nor do I intend to.”
Mr. Kennedy, the Democratic nominee for the Senate from New York, issued the following statement:
“As I said in Poland last summer, I am convinced Oswald was solely responsible for what happened and that he did not have any outside help or assistance. He was a malcontent who could not get along here or in the Soviet Union.
“I have not read the report, nor do I intend to. But I have been briefed on it, and I am completely satisfied that the commission investigated every lead and examined every piece of evidence. The commission’s inquiry was thorough and conscientious.”
