"Leda," Starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Opens in New York

July 17, 1961 - Today's new film is "Leda," known in France as "À double tour," a French-language drama with English subtitles at New York's Little Carnegie Theater. Jean-Paul Belmondo (left), Bernadette Lafont (right) and Madeleine Robinson play leading roles in the film, which was written, directed and produced by Claude Chabrol. Leda, the mistress of the wealthy Henri Marcoux, is murdered. The family accuses the milkman of committing the crime. But Marcoux's daughter's fiancé (Belmondo) suspects someone else.
