July 9, 1961 - Gina Lollobrigida (pictured right with Elizabeth Taylor and Eddie Fisher) walked out on Premier Khrushchev and other dignitaries at the opening of the Moscow Film Festival last night. She said that she could not wait any longer for a bath and a change of clothes. "I wasn't angry, just upset," she said. "I was very strained after a two-day trip to Moscow." The Italian actress stalked out of the Lenin Sports Palace at the height of a flurry of speeches extolling communism and the Soviet Union. Premier Khrushchev and other Soviet leaders stared as she did so.
