July 4, 1961 - The international jury at Berlin's 11th film festival today honored an Italian film with its top prize. The Golden Bear went to "La Notte" (The Night), directed and written by Michelangelo Antonioni. The Silver Bear for the best actress went to Anna Karina for her performance in the French comedy, "Une Femme est une Femme" (A Woman Is a Woman), directed by her husband, Jean-Luc Godard.
