July 2, 1961 - A French comedy of married love, "A Woman Is a Woman," has stirred the first real excitement at the Berlin Film Festival. Thunderous applause was heard at the end of the screening of the film directed by Jean-Luc Godard. His wife, Anna Karina (pictured), has the lead as a strip-tease dancer. Jean Claude Brialy plays her husband. Mr. Godard won the Berlin prize last year for directing "Breathless."
