Oct. 29, 1962 - The Dallas Texans took over the American Football League Western Division lead yesterday by turning 4 interceptions and a Houston fumble into points to defeat the Oilers in Houston, 31-7. Len Dawson, the Texans’ quarterback, had one of his best days, completing 12 of 16 passes with 3 going for touchdowns. George Blanda of the Oilers had one of his worst, with 8 completions in 18 attempts and 3 interceptions.
