Dec. 11, 1963 - Bill Bradley (pictured) rescued Princeton twice tonight as the Tigers defeated Lafayette, 69-64, in a double-overtime basketball game in Easton, Pa. Both teams now have 2-1 records. Bradley, who scored 27 points, tied the regulation game at 54-54 with a basket in the last two seconds and scored the final two points in the first overtime that was tied at 58-58. In the second overtime, Bradley scored the first two points on two foul shots, and then Don Rodenbach scored two baskets to clinch the decision. Lafayette’s Dan Kristoff, who also had 27 points, missed a chance to win the regulation game when he made but one of two foul shot attempts in the last 30 seconds, making the score 54-52 and setting the stage for Bradley’s tying basket.
