Sept. 8, 1964 - The Philadelphia Phillies, who lead the National League by six games, have already started making World Series preparations at the press box level at Connie Mack Stadium.
A new kitchen is being built behind the present press box, and the space now occupied by the kitchen will be used as working space for the 600 writers expected to cover the World Series if the Phillies with their first pennant since 1950.
