On Sale Today: LP “The Animals On Tour”

Feb. 18, 1965 - On sale today is “The Animals On Tour,” the second American studio album by British rock band The Animals. 

The album includes two previously released singles, “I’m Crying” and “Boom Boom” and is mostly made up of leftovers from the British “The Animals” album — that were not included on the American version — and unreleased tracks intended for the group’s next British album, which is tentatively scheduled for release in May.

Despite what the title indicates, “The Animals on Tour” is not a live album; it is entirely made up of studio recordings. Eight of the songs were recorded Nov. 16. Two were recorded Jan. 22 of last year, and two others on July 31.
