On Sale Today: “Having a Wild Weekend” by Dave Clark Five

June 28, 1965 - On sale today is “Having a Wild Weekend,” the fifth American album by the British band the Dave Clark Five. The album is presented as the soundtrack to the film of the same name, which was released in April in the U.K. as “Catch Us If You Can.” The film, under the title “Having a Wild Weekend,” will be released in the U.S. in August.

The album was produced by Dave Clark, and all the songs were written by the band members.

Although the album (as well as the U.K. version) is presented as the soundtrack to the film, only the four songs that actually appear in the film are included (“Having a Wild Weekend,” “Catch Us If You Can,” “Sweet Memories,” and “On The Move”). The other songs from the film have already been released on the band’s previous albums.
