June 12, 1965 - Hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 today was “Back in My Arms Again” by the Supremes.
Written and produced by Motown Records’ main production team, Holland-Dozier-Holland, “Back in My Arms Again” is the fifth consecutive and overall No. 1 song for the group on the Billboard Hot 100 from June 6 through today. The other four are “Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” “Come See About Me,” and “Stop! In the Name of Love.”
“Back in My Arms Again,” which the Supremes performed on “The Mike Douglas Show” on May 5, will be included on the groups’ forthcoming LP, “More Hits by The Supremes.”
