NBC-TV Scheduling Changes Forthcoming in January

Nov. 13, 1964 - NBC will make changes in its Monday and Tuesday evening television programming in January.

Although official confirmation could not be obtained today from NBC, it was reported that the network planned to switch “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” now on Tuesdays, to Mondays at 8 p.m. The one-hour program about an agent for a secret organization combating international crime would replace two half-hour shows, “Tom, Dick and Mary” and “Harris Against the World,” scheduled for cancellation.

On Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” will be succeeded by “Hullabaloo,” a musical variety show. Directed toward a young audience, “Hullabaloo” will include university drill teams, marching bands, and rock ’n’ roll groups. It will be produced by the General Artists Corporation.

“Tom, Dick and Mary” and “Harris Against the World” comprise two-thirds of “90 Bristol Court,” a 90-minute comedy series that has met a grim response from the television audience. The title of the trilogy represents the address of three families living in an apartment court in Southern California. “Karen,” which is about a teenage girl and her family, will continue as the only occupant of the court.
