July 7, 1964 - Sheldon Leonard (center), producer of the Bill Dana, Dick Van Dyke and Andy Griffith shows, is planning a new series in which an undercover agent, posing as a tennis player, spies for the United States in far away, preferably exotic places. He will be accompanied on his travels by a personal valet.
Mr. Leonard, who will produce the comedy-adventure for NBC, intends to film the series in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo. This season, the network has already lined up “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” with Robert Vaughn as an international sleuth. His costume is a dinner jacket.
