Feb. 1, 1962 - The Boston Celtics took a big lead in the second quarter and defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 130-115, in an NBA game tonight. A crowd of 13,200 attended the contest at the University of Maryland fieldhouse. Six-foot-four shooting guard Sam Jones (pictured) sparked the Celtics with 22 points.
