Jan. 23, 1965 - Olivia DeHavilland, Trevor Howard, and Thelma Ritter were among the movie stars who attended the New York Film Critics’ 30th anniversary award party tonight at Sardi’s West. The critics honored “My Fair Lady” as best picture of the year, Stanley Kubrick (pictured with wife Christiane) as best director (“Dr. Strangelove”), Rex Harrison as best actor (“My Fair Lady”), and Kim Stanley (Séance on a Wet Afternoon) as best actress.
“That Man from Rio” won the prize for the best foreign language film of the year, and “The Servant” won an accolade for the best screenplay.
