Apr. 20, 1965 - On sale today is “Whipped Cream & Other Delights,” a studio album by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, released on A&M Records. It is the band’s fourth full album.
This album finds the band nearly abandoning its Mexican-themed music and featuring mostly instrumental arrangements of popular songs, including “Lemon Tree,” “A Taste of Honey,” and “Love Potion No. 9.”
The album’s provocative cover features model Dolores Erickson wearing chiffon and shaving cream. The picture was taken when Erickson was three months pregnant.
