Nov. 2, 1962 - Opening today is “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” The film, a psychological horror-thriller, was directed by Robert Aldrich from a screenplay by Lukas Heller which was based on the 1960 novel of the same name. It stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in their first film appearance together. The story deals with a former child star (Davis, pictured) who torments her paraplegic sister (Crawford) in their decaying Hollywood mansion.
