July 24, 1963 - Burt Lancaster (pictured at Cannes with Claudia Cardinale) will play a leading role in “The Train,” a film that will be directed in France by Arthur Penn. The drama, dealing with the Nazi theft of Parisian art works in 1944, will be produced by United Artists. Mr. Lancaster, who recently played an Italian aristocrat in “The Leopard” and a German judge in “Judgment at Nuremberg,” will be a French railroad inspector in the film.
