Oct. 29, 1964 - Opening today is “The Naked Kiss,” a melodrama film written and directed by Samuel Fuller and starring Constance Towers, Anthony Eisley, Michael Dante, and Virginia Grey. It is Fuller’s second film for Allied Artists after last year’s “Shock Corridor.” Kelly (Towers), a big-city prostitute, relocates to suburbia, abandons her former profession, and attempts to fit in with mainstream society, taking a job at a hospital for disabled children. However, perverse secrets simmer beneath the town’s wholesome surface.
